Force10 provides technical training in our San Jose, California facility or at customer locations throughout the world. Our training staff focuses on practical knowledge and operational techniques to maximize the productivity of technical personnel. Trained operators are better able to design, troubleshoot and tune the performance of each switch/router for the best possible network performance and availability.
Classes held in the Training Center at Force10 headquarters is limited to 8 seats to ensure an optimal training experience. Depending on the curriculum, students may have the opportunity to tour the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and participate in hands-on hardware & troubleshooting labs. The flexible curriculum allows the instructors to focus on areas of group weaknesses or required strengths. In addition to Technical Trainers, Force10 Customer Support Engineers may deliver selected topics and/or oversee hands-on exercises. A courseware binder, with a copy of all lectures and labs, is also provided to each student to take with them at the completion of class.
Force10 also offers customized training at customer locations. Curriculum can be comprised of standard classes or a custom agenda tailored for the needs of your organization. For training at a customer site, the customer will be required to provide a classroom/conference room with seating for the desired class size, a projector and screen for viewing slide presentations, and networked PCs for students. As needed for hands-on labs, access to customer owned equipment or internet access to allow login to remote equipment at Force10 Networks, Inc. will be required.
Usually delivered at Force10’s San Jose facility, retail pricing is determined by number of students, curriculum needs and amount and types of hands-on labs desired. Additional charges may be assessed depending on the degree of customization, as well as travel and expense requirements for the instructor(s). Custom classes usually have a minimum size of 4 students. Maximum class size varies based based on factors including, but not limited to, facilities, location, and whether there are hands on labs, or lecture only. A courseware binder, with a copy of all lectures and labs, is also provided to each student to take with them at the completion of class.
